GRIT is a cash-based or out-of-network Physical Therapy practice. We specialize in treating and caring for anyone from athletes to individuals looking for help performing their daily tasks. Our main focus is keeping active people participating in the sports, pastimes, and life they love while they rehab.

 

A good therapist will not heal you but teach you to heal yourself. We are athletes here at GRIT at we know the fear and uncertainty that can come with even the smallest injuries. We also understand how fiercely independent you are and that you'd much rather take care of your injury yourself. Our goal is to help you do just that! That way the next time you're walking through the doors at GRIT, it is for some recovery work or a good solid strength training program.

Not injured? Thank goodness! We also train and coach anyone looking to get stronger, hit those PR's, and invest in their fitness, health and well being. We have multiple options including private, semi-private, and remote coaching. 

​

Fatigued, sore and in need of some recovery? We do that too! Come in for some soft tissue or sports massage, body tempering, and athlete recovery system. 

​

At GRIT we have the ability to provide a well rounded experience where education and simplicity are key ingredients because we know healthcare, fitness, and recovery can be a bit overwhelming and hard to navigate without a guide. We are super passionate about teaching the enormous benefits of basic strength training in any form.

Our mission is to build more resilient humans using strength, knowledge, and intent. We pride ourselves on educating people to better care for themselves when they are injured and motivating them to work hard for their goals, whatever they may be.

Redefining the way Physical Therapy is done. GRIT is not your typical Physical Therapy practice. Our priority is quality one-on-one care so you can recover faster and come back stronger than you were before! 

All treatment sessions are 60 minutes and spent with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. (no assistants, aides, or techs) 

Not in need of rehab? Good! We do strength training and recovery work too.


Together we will build your personalized treatment plan to remain active, and participating in the life you love.

ABOUT
THE DOCTOR 

Dr. Samantha Day, PT, DPT

I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy. I graduated from Northwestern University in Chicago, Il in 2005. I have spent the majority of my career thus far working at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. I wore many hats while I was there but the ones I am most proud of were leading a team of over 30 therapists in 2 different locations, lead therapist on the Brain and Spine Unit, and consistently educating the nursing staff about all things rehab. 

 

I chose Physical Therapy a long time ago and have been lucky enough to find a career that has been able to change with me as I change. It has followed my passions as well as pushed me outside my comfort zones many times. But in the end it has allowed me to fill my heart by caring for others. 

​

In my practice I use active modalities and strength based physical therapy methods because as an athlete myself, I have used and seen these methods work time and time again. They are supported by research and used by clinicians all over the world. So whether you are here for rehab or strength training you can count on having a barbell, dumbbell or kettlebell in your hands at some point. 

​

I am also a competitive powerlifter, Word Record holder in the deadlift for my age/wt group, and all around lover of lifting heavy things. I am a hard worker and expect the same thing out of my clients and patients, but I also know we are all human and I am here to help you navigate that. Strength and lifting have both changed my world, my goals, and my career. It is my passion and my job to help you find your way to your goals, to achieve things greater than you saw for yourself.
