Do you take my insurance?
GRIT is an out of network practice, meaning we do not directly accept insurance. By doing so we are able to provide the highest quality one-on-one care we believe each individual deserves, without restrictions from insurance companies.

Each session is one-on-one with a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy (no assistants, aides, or techs)

Can I get reimbursed from my insurance company?
Yes, we will provide you with the necessary info (superbill) for reimbursement. The amount reimbursed, or contributed to your deductible, is dependent on your insurance plan. For more information, please contact your insurance provider and inquire about your "out of network physical therapy benefits". They will be able to answer your questions about your specific out of network benefits, reimbursement rates, and explain the process for submitting claims.

Do I need a referral?
California allows individuals to see a Physical Therapist without a physician referral for the first 12 sessions (or 45 days, whichever comes first). If care continues beyond this time for the same issue, a referral will be requested.
What should I expect during my initial evaluation?
When you make your first appointment you will be emailed intake forms. Please take a few minutes (~10) to fill these out so we can spend more time with the hands on assessment on the first visit. Expect to discuss past medical and injury history, medications/supplements, sleep nutrition, exercise/training, and work. These are all critical to your recovery.

Please bring shoes and clothes you can move and work out in and expect to do work. For example, if you have pain when you squat, expect that you will be squatting.
